Small-scale projects and transparency

ROFAC is a small organization with a big vision.

We communicate personally and directly with our followers and donors to allow them to become involved in our projects and be a part of the ROFAC family.

Through our website, social media and annual newsletter, we seek to give you a realistic insight into who we are and what we do. In Ghana, our small-scale focus is evident in the size of our projects. This approach means that we are able to give each child individual attention. Every child and their situation is unique and therefore demands a unique approach. Transparency and realistic reporting allows us to show you both our successes and our setbacks.

We try to bring our projects in Ghana closer to you by giving daily updates on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and by sending out a comprehensive annual report and newsletter.

Self-reliance

Good intentions or nice gestures are not enough in development work.

By focusing on equal relationships instead of dependent ones, we can truly make a difference whilst working towards a positive future.

Improving the current situation is only beneficial if the changes persist, especially when foreign support ceases. That is why we start all our projects with the aim of making them self-reliant.

Local focus and cooperation

All of ROFACs projects are established in cooperation with local organizations and work closely with other foreign organizations.

By respecting both cultures, we have always managed to overcome existing cultural differences. Neither culture is regarded as better than the other. Since a project cannot become sustainable until local traditions and customs are taken into account, effective communication is very important. And achieving this means that, in turn, we can achieve even more!
